Star Trails Film:
So before I begin posting the photos from tonight I’m going to say that I’m going to be using my digital camera more because the lens on my film camera broke in half…I just went to pick the thing up and wham the top half of the lens was in my hand and the camera was in my other hand. I haven’t fixed it yet because the store is closed till Monday…and driving an hour both ways on a weekday doesn’t seem like a good idea since it’ll be through rush hour. I’ll get it fixed Monday if I can.
Anyways here’s some shots.

Night Photography in Color!
I’ve finally learned how to use my D5o to it’s full potential. I figured out how to set it up to expose for at least 30 minutes. However I still need 1 ingrediant, a dark enough sky where no one has any crazy lights on. Tonight I went out to join my fellow photographers at Cave Hollow to do light painting. While I waited for them to arrive I shot photos of the sky. Unfourtunately it was really bright out because of a few baseball games going on at the park. But not to worry I got some great shots. So sit back and enjoy the fall colors and starry skies of Cave Hollow at night.

I took this in NM on the side of the road one dark night. I even had a cop pull over to check on me… anyways I would like to know if you have any suggestions on how to make it better.
The exposure time was 5min + at f/16 and I made some levels adjustments in photoshop.
I will be experimenting more this week when we sleep out on Tuesday.
