I never thought I would see this, but one of my friends started working on customizing my little ponies earlier this year, she does her ponies based off books but there are a few out there that I find pretty cool. Check it out.
So before I begin posting the photos from tonight I’m going to say that I’m going to be using my digital camera more because the lens on my film camera broke in half…I just went to pick the thing up and wham the top half of the lens was in my hand and the camera was in my other hand. I haven’t fixed it yet because the store is closed till Monday…and driving an hour both ways on a weekday doesn’t seem like a good idea since it’ll be through rush hour. I’ll get it fixed Monday if I can.
I’ve finally learned how to use my D5o to it’s full potential. I figured out how to set it up to expose for at least 30 minutes. However I still need 1 ingrediant, a dark enough sky where no one has any crazy lights on. Tonight I went out to join my fellow photographers at Cave Hollow to do light painting. While I waited for them to arrive I shot photos of the sky. Unfourtunately it was really bright out because of a few baseball games going on at the park. But not to worry I got some great shots. So sit back and enjoy the fall colors and starry skies of Cave Hollow at night.
Weeks 1 and 2 were alright as I had two different groups. But names are awful…and I don’t remember half of the kids names.
During week two we were up at Elephant Rocks, where I had never been before and I nearly killed myself by rescuing a kids waterbottle. Down a waterfall is where I fell, I managed to catch onto something and move back up it, it left a funky bruise on my head. But before all this I took these shots of a cacti that was on Elephant Rocks…can you believe it cacti in Missouri?
Lee came to visit at the end of the two weeks then I was thrown right back into Session 2 of camp.
Session 2 was a bit better, but I was overly stressed out between week 1-2, and it was freezing the night I took these shots outside while lying on my cot.
Oh campouts…we had no tent…and it was freezing. No one slept well this night…
Our actual tents…
Tomorrow we start session 3…oh yeah…just as an added bonus I took video. Have a great 2 weeks Flame
